Ongoing Operational Support

October 17, 2003 - Spanish Soyuz Mission Cervantes

The launch of ESA's Cervantes mission to the International Space Station (ISS) from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan is currently scheduled for October 18 at 07:37 Central European Summer Time (05:37 UT - 11:37 local time).

Docking with the ISS is scheduled for 20 October at 09:11 CEST (07:11 UT - 11:11 Moscow time).

October 16 : Briefing at the B.USOC

The B.USOC is responsible for the telescience of the five Belgian experiments on board :

Message (Max Mergeay, CEN/SKN), Cardioscience Rythme (André Aubert, K.U.Leuven), Cogniscience Neurocog (Guy Cheron, ULB/UMH; Berthoz, France), Promiss 2 (Lode Wyns, VUB; Ingrid Zegers, VUB; Frank Dubois, ULB) and Nanoslab (Johan Martens, K.U.Leuven).

Some pictures of the briefing : All agents of the B.USOC involved in the Spanish Soyuz Mission are learning about and discussing the equipments (Video and PC stations) and associated networks they will have to use during the mission.
